Artist Profile

In 2021 I moved back to West Sussex where I had spent my childhood growing up in Worthing. Only then did I realise how much I had missed the downs and the sea.

The sea is currently a major source of inspiration and I love to go to the coast to see it in all weather conditions and at all times of the day. When I am not painting the sea or coastal scene I concern myself with depicting the human body as it falls through the air. I am fascinated by the way light and shadow interacts with the human form, creating interesting shapes and textures.

I believe art should evoke an emotional response from the viewer. Whether it's joy, nostalgia, or contemplation, I hope people will connect with my work on some level.

Artist Profile

I paint in the studio at the top of my garden surrounded by birdsong and flowers. Inspired by nature, my art reflects my time spent travelling and time in the outdoors. My style is abstract. I like to feel as free as possible. Each piece is a journey of discovery - I never quite know how it will turn out or where it will take me, but the main thing is I have fun on the way! You will find me at Rose Cottage Garden Studio.
